so a little shy of two weeks ago I took chelsea to the morikami japanese gardens to celebrate our 5 month anniversary, and it was a truly awesome, albeit hot, experience (I would recommend going in a colder month).

The entire property is nuzzled neatly away from the roads giving you the feeling that you truly have gotten away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life. Big plus. A feeling of tranquility and intimacy surround the whole place, meaning its not a bad place to take a date (Interest in Japanese culture would be a good idea, though not necessary.) Also, you could totally make a good afternoon meandering through the winding paths, gazing into the beautiful ponds and snapping some great photos from the many picturesque locales.
Besides the gardens, which include many paths, small streams, rock gardens, Koi pond, exotic flowers, waterfalls, and even a bonsai exhibit, is the museum itself, which varies in attractions, so it's important to check the website and see if you're interested.
